Floater

Mon-Thur 7am-4:30pm (Fri 7-11am)
The Screen Print Floater will be working for a Clothing company in the Greenville area. This is a position that gives the opportunity to work with amazing people. The company is currently looking for a Screen Print Floateer to help in various areas as a supporter to those departments. They will pack finished products in accordance with standard screen procedures. As a Packer you will be unloading a bandana at a time from the carousel and placing them on a belt to feed through the dryer.
A Unloader/Packer
removes partly processed or completed product by
the screen-printing machine that prints designs on textile products and positions the articles on a conveyor belt that carries the articles through a drier.
As a Floater you will also have to mix ink colors, change screens, clean the machine, dry, fold or package materials, maintain the cleanliness and readiness of screen printing equipment. Responsibilities include cleaning screens and related tools, preparing screens for reclaiming, coating screens, and assisting with other tasks as needed.
This is a Temp-To-Hire Position
These are the responsibilities of the Screen Print Packer:
- Follow company packing procedures and standards
- Retrieve work order jobs for screen printing
- Examines work orders to determine estimated printing time, ink, and material quantities
- Loads screen printer with screen and ink
- Repositions screen printing pallets
- mix ink colors, change screens, clean the machine, dry, fold or package materials.
- Assists in calibrating the machine for the loader
- Performs quality check on off-load
- Trouble shoots problems as they arise
- Handle inventory with care and attention to detail
- Adhere to safety programs and OSHA compliance for a safe work environment
- Work independently at a workstation
- Inspect and package products
- Other duties as assigned
- Screen Cleaning: Cleaning screens using various methods, including solvents, aqueous cleaners, or abrasive blasting, to remove ink and debris.
- Reclaiming Screens: Preparing screens for future use by removing and reclaiming them from the machine.
- Tool Cleaning: Cleaning ink knives, squeegees, and floodbars.
- Assisting with Production: Helping with various tasks as needed, such as sorting materials or assisting with the printing process.
- Maintaining a Clean Work Environment: Keeping the work area tidy and organized, including sorting and cleaning materials.
Skills
:
- Ability to move between tasks
- Able to work with your hands
- Ability to perform very repetitive motions
- Ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours. There are breaks
- Not climate controlled
- Attention to detail
- Ability to train and learn new duties and skills
