Wayland, MI $20.00/hr 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Monday - Friday
Candidates will handle pallets of crates filled with milk cartons and assorted dairy products, separating usable items from spoiled or damaged materials to ensure only quality products move forward in the processing operation. Responsibilities also include washing and sanitizing emptied crates, maintaining a clean work environment, following food safety procedures, and supporting daily production goals in a fast-paced setting.
What You'll Be Doing
· Sort and inspect dairy products for quality and usability · Separate damaged, spoiled, or unusable products from acceptable materials · Handle pallets of milk cartons and assorted dairy products · Wash and sanitize crates according to facility standards · Maintain a clean and organized work area · Follow food safety, quality, and sanitation procedures · Assist with production and processing operations as needed · Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment · Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift · Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 40 lbs. · Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, cold, hot, and odorous areas · Ability to safely operate cleaning and production equipment while following food safety and sanitation procedures · Ability to wear required PPE and work safely around processing equipment · Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety · Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation · Reliable attendance and teamwork skills preferred
