Procurement Specialist, $28-30/hour - Norton Shores, MI

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management or Business Administration preferred (or equivalent years of experience in procurement)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in purchasing or supply chain in a low-volume, custom manufacturing environment
- Proven track record leading vendor cost reduction initiatives
- Experience managing sourcing and supplier consolidation programs
Skills:
- Strong negotiating and project management skills
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
- Ability to read technical blueprints (PRO-E & AutoCAD)
- Clear and confident communication in team environments
As a Procurement Specialist, not only will you be responsible for all purchasing activities that support manufacturing, but you’ll also lead efforts in supplier management, cost savings, inventory reduction, and sourcing strategy.
