Location: Detroit, MI Shift: 1st Shift Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Job Summary
We're seeking a dependable Production Assembler to join a growing manufacturing team in Detroit, MI. In this role, you'll be responsible for assembling signs and display stands, using hand tools and light machinery, reading work orders, and preparing finished products for shipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with assembly experience who enjoys hands-on work in a team-oriented environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Production Assembler, your core responsibilities will include:
Assembly: Assemble signs, stands, and related products according to work orders and production specifications.
Tool & Equipment Operation: Use hand tools and light production equipment safely and effectively to complete assembly tasks.
Packaging & Shipping Preparation: Package completed products and prepare orders for shipment while ensuring accuracy and quality.
In addition, you will read and follow work instructions, inspect finished products for quality, maintain a clean and organized work area, and assist with other production duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
Previous assembly experience required.
Mechanical experience preferred.
Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand and work on your feet throughout the shift.
Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
Skills:
Assembly Skills: Experience assembling products using hand tools and production equipment.
Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable working with tools, hardware, and production processes.
Attention to Detail: Ability to build products accurately according to specifications.
Teamwork: Works well in a small team environment.
Reliability: Strong attendance and commitment to quality workmanship.
