Montague, MI, 3rd Shift, $19.28 per hour
Job SummaryWorkbox Staffing is hiring Production Machine Operators for a great opportunity in Montague! In this role, you will operate machinery within the Converting Department while maintaining production rates, quality standards, safety procedures, and packaging requirements. This is a hands-on position for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a team environment.
What You’ll Be DoingOperate converting equipment, including XABM, FABM, or Kirk Rudy machines
Accurately enter production data into the shop floor data collection system
Complete packing and labeling requirements
Perform machine changeovers and follow established operating procedures
Perform preventative maintenance on machinery according to outlined procedures
Meet or exceed quality and production standards
Learn and operate various machines throughout the Converting Department
Provide backup support in other areas of the department as needed
Occasionally operate a box-maker, shrink wrapper, or multi-feeder
Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking ForBasic math and counting skills
Strong attention to detail and a team-oriented attitude
General computer knowledge
Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with standard mechanical tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, measuring devices, and cutting tools
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
