Shift:  1st shift 6:30 am to 2:30 pm Monday - Friday
Pay:  1st Shift 18.00

Job Summary
 Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We’re seeking a  Material Handler  to join our team in Walker, MI. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of our operations, helping support machine operators and production flow by ensuring materials, supplies, and finished goods move efficiently and safely throughout the facility.

What You'll Be Doing

 As a  Material Handler, your core responsibilities will include:
●  Material Preparation & Distribution:  Organize and distribute work orders while pulling the correct metal for each machine using a hi-lo to ensure operators are prepared for production.
 ●  Production Support:  Supply machine operators with metal, boxes, and necessary materials throughout the shift to keep production running smoothly.
 ●  Quality Checks:  Verify correct color, gauge, and size of materials for each work order to maintain product quality and accuracy.
In addition, you will also move finished goods to the shipping staging area, re-weigh and tag metal for restocking, and help maintain organized storage of materials and boxes.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:
 ● No formal degree required
 ●  1–3 years of hi-lo (forklift) experience  in a manufacturing environment preferred
 ● Ability to  lift 50–70 lbs.  and work in a physically demanding environment

Skills:
 ●  Attention to Detail:  Ensures materials, work orders, and finished goods meet quality and accuracy standards.
 ●  Problem-Solving Skills:  Ability to troubleshoot production or material issues to keep operations running smoothly.
 ●  Computer Skills:  Basic computer proficiency; experience with  JD Edwards  software is helpful.
 ●  Time Management & Organization:  Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
 ●  Communication & Teamwork:  Strong communication skills to coordinate with operators and support overall production goals.
