Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Production Associate - Paint Load/Unload to join our team in Newaygo, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us to ensure quality and efficiency in our paint line operations by safely racking and unracking parts.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Production Associate - Paint Load/Unload, your core responsibilities will include:
- Paint Line Handling: Racking and unracking parts from the belt line.
- Part Assembly: Assembles parts by following written and visual guidelines, using bolts, clips, screws, or heat staking to fasten them together.
- Machine Tending: Tends machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations in the assembly cell.
In addition, you will also be expected to rotate to different stations as production needs require and complete all necessary paperwork, such as daily production reports and scrap sheets, accurately and on time.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- Able to read and interpret a variety of written procedures, part numbers, part descriptions, and operation instruction sheets.
- Able to understand and write production tags and labels.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Able to work well with employees in a team environment.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and take pride in work.
- Able to lift 25 lbs. (most parts weigh 5-8 lbs.).
Skills:
- Interpretation & Documentation: Able to read and interpret procedures and write production tags to maintain accurate production flow.
- Teamwork & Ownership: Ability to work well with others in a team environment and take pride in your work for optimal results.
- Basic Math & Physical Ability: Competency in basic math for production tags and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
