1st Shift - Project Engineer, $31.25–$40.87/hr – Fort Wayne, IN
Come join a trusted name in industrial equipment design and manufacturing! We’re looking for a motivated Engineer to join our client and contribute to the design, development, and improvement of machinery and production processes. In this role, you’ll work closely with both the design and production teams to draft and revise technical drawings, evaluate equipment performance, and ensure all specifications are met from concept through completion. A strong mechanical aptitude and experience in manufacturing or heavy equipment design is preferred. Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor is required, along with strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and revise equipment drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor
- Collaborate with production and shop teams on implementation
- Perform process evaluations and make improvement recommendations
- Review technical specifications and ensure design compliance
- Occasional client interaction for custom projects
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience (entry-level candidates with strong internships will be considered)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
