Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Technician to join our team! In this role, you will perform daily monitoring, testing, and documentation to ensure that all processes and products meet SQF standards for Food Safety and Quality, as well as all federal, state, and customer requirements. You’ll play a key part in maintaining product quality and safety in a fast-paced food production environment.
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Technician to join our team! In this role, you will perform daily monitoring, testing, and documentation to ensure that all processes and products meet SQF standards for Food Safety and Quality, as well as all federal, state, and customer requirements. You’ll play a key part in maintaining product quality and safety in a fast-paced food production environment.
What You’ll Be Doing

As a QA Technician, your core responsibilities will include:
- Maintain slab supplies inventory and ensure the laboratory is clean and organized.
- Perform and record analytical testing of finished products.
- Conduct line audits to verify finished products meet specifications.
- Place non-conforming products and ingredients on hold when necessary.
- Ensure all PCs, CQPs, and CCPs are being followed correctly.
- Complete pre-start inspections and release production lines for operation.
- Maintain the finished product retain area and proper recordkeeping.
- Assist butchers and filler operators with analytical testing as needed.
- Prepare concentrate and product development samples for the Quality Assurance Manager and upper management.
- Adhere to all GMPs, GLPs, and housekeeping standards.
- Taste test products as needed (up to a few ounces per test).
- Promote a strong food safety culture by understanding and following all food safety and quality responsibilities.
- Perform all assigned tasks with a Safety/Food Safety mindset.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of laboratory or QA-related experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Skills:
- Knowledge of GMPs, GLPs, and food safety standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team-oriented with a focus on quality and consistency.
