Location:  Dexter, MI  Shift:  1 st  (6am-3:30pm) M-F  Pay:  $20/hr

Job Summary

Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a  Quality Inspector  to join our team in  Dexter, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our manufacturing operations, helping ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards through accurate inspections, documentation, and attention to detail.

What You'll Be Doing

As a  Quality Inspector, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Performing in-process inspections:  Complete visual inspections, dimensional checks, and functional testing throughout the manufacturing process to ensure parts meet established specifications.
  • Using precision measuring equipment:  Utilize tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, pin gauges, thread gauges, comparators, indicators, and other inspection equipment to verify part accuracy.
  • Reviewing specifications and documentation:  Read and interpret blueprints, Quality Control Instructions, and GD&T requirements to identify defects and confirm products meet quality standards.
In addition, you will also be expected to complete quality documentation, perform process audits, assist with sorting and rework activities, maintain compliance with quality procedures, and communicate inspection findings clearly with the production team.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
  • 1–2+ years of experience in manufacturing quality inspection or  a related  production quality role required.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, or similar inspection equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, work instructions, and quality documentation.
  • Ability to work independently, maintain strong attendance, and support overtime needs as required.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to accurately document inspection results.
Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail:  Ability to identify quality issues, recognize defects, and ensure parts meet customer expectations.
  • Problem-solving skills:  Ability to investigate quality concerns, communicate findings, and support corrective actions.
  • Mechanical aptitude:  Comfortable working with manufacturing processes, inspection tools, and production equipment.
  • Organization and communication:  Ability to maintain accurate records and effectively communicate quality findings with team members.
