Are you an experienced quality professional ready to lead and maintain the highest quality standards in a manufacturing environment? We’re seeking a
Quality Manager
in
Troy, MI,
to oversee quality assurance programs, support and train personnel, and ensure compliance with customer and company requirements. In this role, you’ll manage quality-related activities, support ISO and IATF standards, and play a key role in passing customer audits.
What You'll Be Doing
As a
Quality Manager,
your responsibilities will include:
- Inspecting, testing, and measuring products for conformance to specifications, including first-article and in-process inspections.
- Measuring product dimensions using calipers, gauges, micrometers, optical comparators, coordinate measuring machines, and other precision instruments.
- Reading blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine inspection and testing procedures.
- Completing Product Parts Approval Process (PPAP) paperwork and reviewing outsourced parts for conformity.
- Determining acceptance or rejection of materials based on measurements and test results.
- Performing quality assessments and ensuring inspection equipment is calibrated correctly.
- Collaborating with management, manufacturing associates, and supervisors regarding inspection results.
- Selecting special characteristics, setting quality objectives, and providing related training.
- Managing corrective and preventive actions, manufacturing process design, capacity analysis, logistics information, customer scorecards, and portals.
- Exercising authority to stop shipments or production when quality problems are identified.
- Identifying and containing all potential nonconforming products to prevent customer delivery.
- Using work processors, spreadsheets, databases, and inspection equipment effectively.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and IATF16949 standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of team-building approaches and team dynamics
- Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions

Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 10+ years of quality experience in manufacturing preferred
