Quality Technician
Location: Grand Haven, MI
Job Summary
Are you detail-oriented with a strong eye for quality and accuracy? We’re seeking a Quality Technician to support our quality team with first piece inspections and other quality-related functions. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring products meet company and customer standards before and during production.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Quality Technician, your core responsibilities will include:
- First Piece Inspections: Perform first article/first piece inspections to verify products meet specifications before full production runs.
- In-Process Quality Checks: Conduct routine inspections throughout production to ensure consistent quality standards are maintained.
- Documentation & Reporting: Record inspection results, complete quality documentation, and communicate findings to production and leadership teams.
In addition, you will assist with corrective actions, support continuous improvement efforts, and collaborate with production staff to resolve quality concerns.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and technical documents is preferred
- Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges preferred
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records
- Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
