Job Summary: Join a dynamic production team in Sparta, MI, as a Relief Operator! In this role, you’ll serve as a key support member on the line, proficiently operating multiple types of equipment to maintain smooth production flow. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment that values accuracy, safety, and teamwork while stepping in where needed to keep operations running efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Equipment operation: Run filler, labeler, case packer, box former, and depalletizer in the absence of standard operators.
- Quality control: Perform quality checks and complete all required documentation.
- Machine management: Start, stop, and operate all mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic controls properly.
- Safety awareness: Understand and follow proper procedures for all safety switches, interlocks, and devices.
- Maintenance support: Clear jams, reset machinery, and assist maintenance with size changeovers when needed.
- Material handling: Safely operate an electric pallet jack and forklift (certification required).
- Housekeeping: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of debris.
- Team collaboration: Coordinate with operators to ensure correct materials and boxes are available for production.

- Ability to proficiently operate all line equipment at a grade 8 level
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification

- Technical knowledge: Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Problem-solving: Ability to identify issues quickly and take corrective action.
- Teamwork: Works well with others to support continuous production flow.
