Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Robotic Welder to join our team in Clare, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us to fabricate quality manufactured products by setting up, maintaining, and operating robotic welding equipment.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Robotic Welder, your core responsibilities will include:
- Set-up and Operation: Setting up, operating, and adjusting robotic welding equipment, including calculating and setting controls for factors like wire feed speed and amperage.
- Quality Control: Inspecting and measuring machined work pieces using instruments such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers to ensure conformance to print specifications.
- Material Handling and Clean-up: Lifting and securing work pieces for welding, unloading finished parts, removing rough spots using grinders, and maintaining the cleanliness of the machine and work area.
In addition, you will also be expected to record all labor and downtime on work orders and report any safety, quality, or production issues to the Crew Leader.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of welding experience; working with robotic machinery is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and perform physical activities requiring considerable use of the entire body.
- Manufacturing Pre-Employment Training Certificate is preferred.
Skills:
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job specifications to determine welding and material requirements.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities, including the ability to multi-task and concentrate on tasks for long periods of time.
- Quality and Safety Focus: A strong focus on quality, efficiency, and a safety-minded approach, ensuring all company standards are met.
Prescreening:
- Drug screen upon hire (as well as randoms). We test for marijuana.
- Tape Measure Test: Candidates must be able to pass our tape measure test to be placed in 75% of our positions on the shop floor.
