Job Summary
Are you skilled in programming and logic for robotics or automation systems? We're seeking a
Robotics & PLC Programmer
to join our team supporting a key manufacturing partner in Belleville, MI. In this role, you’ll work with robots, logic controllers, and automation systems to program, troubleshoot, and optimize production lines—helping the company build long-term success through smart automation.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a
Programmer / Logic & Robotics Technician
, your core responsibilities will include:
- Robot & Logic Programming: Write, review, and debug robot programs and logic PLC code to control robotic systems and automated equipment.
- System Integration & Optimization: Integrate robots and peripheral devices, optimize logic flows, and ensure seamless communication between machines and controllers.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve logic/robot issues, monitor system performance, and collaborate with maintenance/engineering teams to drive improvements. In addition, you will also be expected to document changes, maintain program version control, participate in startup/setup activities , and support continuous manufacturing improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in programming robots, logic controllers, or automated systems (industry or manufacturing environment preferred).
- Familiarity with PLC/logic programming, robot brands/systems, or automation integration work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with electrical/mechanical teams.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when assisting with equipment and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing setting.
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.
Skills:
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable writing and modifying logic code, robot paths, and automation sequences.
- Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Able to interpret technical drawings, logic schematics, and monitor system performance for errors or inefficiencies.
- Teamwork & Communication: Collaborates with engineers, maintenance staff, and production teams to achieve goals and resolve issues.
