Job Summary
Do you enjoy hands-on work and take pride in producing quality finished products? A growing woodworking facility in Muskegon is seeking a Sander/Primer to join their team on 1st shift. In this role, you will help prepare wood products for finishing by sanding surfaces, applying primer, and ensuring products meet quality standards. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in woodworking and manufacturing. Previous woodworking experience is helpful but not required.
What You'll Be Doing
- Sand wood components and finished products using hand and power sanding tools
- Prepare surfaces for painting, staining, or finishing
- Apply primer to wood products according to company standards
- Inspect products for imperfections and perform touch-up work as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety procedures and quality standards
- Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals

Qualifications
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Experience with sanding, painting, finishing, or woodworking is helpful but not required
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
