Hart, MI, 1st Shift, $18.50 per hour
Job Summary
Workbox Staffing is hiring a Sanitation Associate in Hart, MI! If you take pride in keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe, this is a great opportunity to join a team that plays an essential role in maintaining a clean and efficient warehouse environment. This position offers a variety of responsibilities and the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum warehouse, office, and common areas according to the sanitation schedule.
- Clean walls, tables, guard rails, pipes, windows, and other facility surfaces.
- Clean and maintain restrooms, break rooms, and other shared spaces.
- Empty trash containers and waste hoppers throughout the facility.
- Clean drains and other areas to help maintain sanitary conditions.
- Operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Use a forklift to move cleaning supplies, products, and waste containers as needed.
- Assist with exterior grounds maintenance, including snow removal, salting walkways, and debris removal.
- Perform minor routine maintenance tasks as directed.
- Report any equipment or facility repair needs to management.
- Complete required documentation for sanitation and maintenance activities.
- Follow all company safety and sanitation procedures.
What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills)
- Previous sanitation, janitorial, warehouse, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Ability to safely operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Dependable with excellent attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working throughout the facility.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
