Sanitation/Forklift Worker
Hart, MI, 1st Shift, $18.50/hour
Job Summary
A Hart manufacturer specializing in cold storage is seeking a Sanitation Worker to join their team on 1st Shift. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary production environment by cleaning equipment, work areas, and facility spaces in accordance with company standards and food safety requirements. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with a growing company.
What You'll Be Doing
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, and work areas
- Follow established sanitation procedures and food safety guidelines
- Safely use cleaning chemicals and sanitation products
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning as needed
- Remove waste and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility
- Complete sanitation logs and documentation accurately
- Identify and report maintenance, safety, or food safety concerns
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Assist in other areas of the facility as needed
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- Previous sanitation, janitorial, manufacturing, or food production experience preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures and food safety standards is helpful
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds as needed
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
