Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We’re seeking a Machine Operator – Saw Operator to join our team in Holland, MI. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of our operations, helping produce precise steel components safely and efficiently to support Porter Corp’s manufacturing goals.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Machine Operator – Saw Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
● Cutting steel to specifications: Follow blueprints and manually lay out and cut steel parts to ensure accuracy and quality.
● Setting up and operating saw machines: Adjust tooling and operate steel-cutting saws efficiently and safely.
● Inspecting finished parts: Check parts for defects and non-conformances to maintain high-quality standards.

In addition, you will also be expected to safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts, maintain a clean and organized work area, and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
● High school diploma or equivalent
● 3+ years of experience operating steel-cut saw machines
● Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in an indoor production/shop environment

Skills
● Blueprint Reading: Accurately interpret engineering drawings to produce correct parts.
● Attention to Detail: Ensure all cuts meet specifications and maintain quality standards.
● Equipment Operation: Safely operate saw machines, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
