Saw Operator
in Fraser, MI. In this role, you will be responsible for operating an automatic, programmable band saw, cutting metal to size in a fast-paced metal shop environment. This position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and adherence to all safety standards.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Saw Operator, your core responsibilities will include:

Saw Operation:
Set up and run an automatic, programmable band saw to accurately cut various metals to specified sizes.
● Measurement & Inspection: Read tape measures and verify cuts against drawings to ensure precise measurements and quality control.
● Material Handling: Load, stage, and move materials using a forklift.
● Workflow Coordination: Maintain an organized workflow to meet daily production goals.
● Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized work area and strictly comply with company safety policies.
● Physical Requirements: Must be able to meet physical requirements, including standing for the entire shift and lifting up to 50 lbs.

What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
● Experience working in a metal shop preferred.
● Experience with running a band saw.
● Able to drive a forklift.
● Ability to read a tape measure required.
● Ability to read drawings preferred.
● Strong commitment to safety and quality.

● Ability to stand and remain on your feet all day (6am-2:30pm).
