Screw Machine Operator, up to $30/hr – Rochester Hills, MI
We’re looking for experienced Screw Machine Set-Up Operators with knowledge of Acmes, New Britain, Euroturn, and Davenport machines to join our clients team in Rochester Hills, MI. If you’re committed to high-quality standards and have the precision and technical skill to keep production running smoothly, this role is for you!
Shift:
4:30pm-2:30am M-F
4:30pm-2:30am M-F
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints
- Experience setting up multi-spindle screw machines
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators
- Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Solid work ethic with exceptional attendance record
- Able to lift 40+ lbs
Skills:
- Operate at least 2 multi-spindle screw machines (possibility of 3 with extra pay)
- Change cams, grind form tools, drills, cutoffs, and perform maintenance tasks
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues quickly
- Adjust tooling to ensure part conformance and maintain tool sharpness
- Use precision measuring tools to verify part specifications
- Follow safety rules, machine instructions, and procedure manuals
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
