Job Summary
A manufacturing company is seeking a Service Manager to maintain customer relationships and direct field maintenance and service processes for hydrogen fuel cell systems. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a strong background in customer-facing roles, capable of working independently and leading a service team.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-class customer service and product information to key users
- Deliver prompt and professional solutions for customer inquiries
- Represent customer opinions and suggestions to the company
- Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ensure proper support parameters
- Hire, train, and manage customer service staff
- Set reportable metrics to measure service department performance
- Suggest and implement improvements to customer service processes
Key Qualifications
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role in distribution or manufacturing industry
- Demonstrated ability to work solo and lead a service team
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Working knowledge of Windows applications and inventory management systems
- Accuracy in handling detailed information/data
- Ability to travel to customer sites periodically

- Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage project timelines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent planning, organizational, and project management skills
- Prior experience working with material handling equipment
- Knowledge of hydrogen or battery-powered vehicle systems
- Experience using SAP B1 or a similar ERP program
