Job Summary

Process Technician
to join our team in Newaygo, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us optimize plastic injection molding processes to ensure high-quality products and efficient production.
What You'll Be Doing
As a
Process Technician
, your core responsibilities will include:
●
Process Setup & Operation
: Perform start-up and shutdown of plastic injection molding machines and ensure all subsystems (water, materials, heaters, robots) are fully operational.
●
Troubleshooting & Optimization
: Debug and resolve molding process issues while continuously improving part quality, yields, and efficiency.
●
Process Adjustments & Monitoring
: Adjust process parameters as needed, monitor production performance, and ensure parts meet quality standards while minimizing scrap.
In addition, you will also be expected to support tooling changes, assist with training team members, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
● 2-year degree in plastics engineering with 8+ years of experience, or 4-year degree with 2+ years of related experience (or equivalent combination)
● Experience working with plastic injection molding processes and equipment
● Ability to safely handle equipment, including performing mold changes and minor tool repairs
● Experience working with plastic injection molding processes and equipment

Skills:

Communication Skills
: Strong written and verbal communication to collaborate with team members and report machine performance effectively.
● Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to troubleshoot process issues independently and implement timely solutions without engineering support.
● Technical Expertise : Experience with injection molding systems, robotics programming, and continuous improvement processes to enhance production efficiency.
