Shear Operator
Location: Middlebury, IN
Shift: 3rd Shift – Sunday night through Friday morning, 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Shear Operator to join our team in Middlebury, IN. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping produce accurately cut metal components by operating shear equipment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
What You'll Be Doing
Operating shear equipment: Run shear machines to cut metal materials according to production orders and specifications.
Reading measurements and work orders: Accurately interpret work orders, measurements, and quality requirements to ensure precise cuts.
Inspecting finished materials: Check materials and completed cuts to ensure they meet quality standards before moving to the next stage.
In addition, you will also be expected to adjust machine settings as needed, assist with material handling, maintain a clean and safe work area, and follow all company safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications:
- Previous shear operator or metal fabrication experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
