to join our team in Grand Rapids , MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us deliver high-quality wood furniture and components
by applying consistent, professional finishes that meet company quality standards.
What You'll Be Doing
As an Experienced Wood Finisher, your core responsibilities will include:
- Preparing wood surfaces: Sanding and prepping wood furniture and components to ensure smooth, high-quality finishes.
- Applying finishes and coatings: Staining, painting, and applying protective coatings to enhance durability and appearance.
- Operating finishing equipment: Safely using spray guns and finishing equipment to achieve consistent, professional results.
In addition, you will also be expected to maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, collaborate with team members, and assist with minor maintenance of finishing equipment.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a wood finisher or in a similar finishing role
- Experience spraying and staining wood furniture components
- Ability to work full-time and overtime as needed
Skills
- Attention to detail: Essential for ensuring finishes meet appearance and quality standards.
- Equipment operation skills: Required to safely and effectively use spray guns and finishing tools.
- Teamwork: Strong collaboration skills to meet production goals in a manufacturing environment.
