Job Title Wood Finisher Location Grand Rapids, MI Pay $18.00/hr Shift 2nd Shift – 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM Training: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Job Summary: Seeking an experienced Wood Finisher in the Grand Rapids wood plant. In this role, you will be responsible for applying stains, paints, and finishes to wood furniture and parts, ensuring high-quality workmanship. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in wood finishing, attention to detail, and the ability to operate finishing equipment safely. Responsibilities: ● Prepare wood surfaces by sanding, cleaning, and inspecting for defects. ● Apply stains, paints, and finishes to wood furniture and parts using spray guns and other finishing equipment. ● Ensure consistency and quality in finishes according to company standards. ● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. ● Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules. ● Assist with minor maintenance and care of finishing equipment. Qualifications: ● Previous experience in wood finishing, staining, or similar woodworking roles. ● Ability to operate spray guns and other finishing equipment safely and effectively. ● Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes. ● Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. ● Flexibility to attend training on 1st shift if required.
