Shipping & Receiving Associate
to join our team in Saline, MI. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of daily operations—ensuring orders are accurate, shipments are on time, and materials flow smoothly throughout the facility.
What You'll Be Doing
As a
Shipping & Receiving Associate
, your core responsibilities will include:
- Order Fulfillment & Pallet Building: Pick items from pick lists, build pallets, and ensure accurate shipments.
- Shipping & Receiving Operations: Load and unload trucks, weigh and measure shipments, receive raw materials, and manage inventory.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, and pallet wrapping machines.
- Documentation & Communication: Operate computer systems for shipping software, complete logs and documentation, and coordinate with trucking companies.
In addition, you will also be expected to assist in production as needed and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with shipping software, Excel, Word, and Office.
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
- Comfortable operating forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment.
- Physically able to lift, bend, kneel, and stay active during a fast-paced workday.
Skills:
- Time Management: Able to prioritize, schedule, and multitask efficiently.
- Organization & Accuracy: Maintain accuracy in inventory counts and shipment preparation.
- Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills for coordinating shipments and reporting issues.
