Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Whitehall, MI, 1st Shift, $16.00 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team in
Whitehall, MI. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, packaging, shipping, and
receiving goods while maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate will
ensure shipments are processed correctly, storage areas remain organized, and all safety
and company procedures are followed.
What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare, package, and process outgoing shipments.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify shipping and receiving documentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update inventory systems as needed.
- Organize and maintain storage areas, stockrooms, and warehouse spaces.
- Load and unload materials as required.
- Ensure products are labeled and stored properly.
- Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments regarding shipments.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills)
- Previous shipping and receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to accurately complete paperwork and maintain records.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems is a plus.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials safely.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable attendance and a positive work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
