Shipping & Receiving Associate - 1st shift - $19.50/hr - Saline MI
Join a full-service supplier of interior and exterior injection molded plastic components and assemblies, providing innovative solutions for automotive plastics applications to original equipment manufacturers and their suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Build pallets out with items picked from "pick list"
- Weigh and measure shipments to ensure accuracy
- Operate a computer to run shipping software / print logs / complete documentation
- Make outbound calls to trucking companies to coordinate shipments
- Order fulfillment
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers and machine pallet wrappers
- Receiving raw materials and managing inventory
- Other duties as assigned including assisting in production as needed
Qualifications/Skills:
- Proficient with time management—possesses the ability to schedule, prioritize, and multitask
- Experience in Order fulfillment and working in a shipping role is required
- Oral and written communication skills
- Able to read a tape measure
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers
- Basic computer skills including Excel, Word, Office, Emails, and website maneuvering for shipping / receiving tasks
