Job Summary
A well-established facility in
Wixom
is seeking an experienced
Shipping & Receiving Associate
to join their team. In this role, you will support shipping and receiving operations, organize materials, inspect inventory, and ensure products are prepared accurately for outbound shipments. This is a temporary-to-full-time hire opportunity with potential for long-term employment based on performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Organize and stage products in shipping and receiving areas
• Set up inbound and outbound freight/ground shipments
• Load and unload trucks using a hi-lo
• Inspect incoming inventory for damages, defects, and accuracy
• Manage material locations and maintain storage organization
• Package outgoing orders using appropriate materials
• Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
• Previous shipping and receiving experience required
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and touch screen tablets
• Able to lift 75+ lbs regularly
• Recent hi-lo experience and comfortable moving large/heavy stacks of material
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
• Ability to work independently and reliably
• Physical stamina to safely handle materials and operate equipment
