Qualifications:
- Experience working in shipping and receiving
- Can read/understand/follow work instructions
Skills:
- Able to read measuring tools (micrometer, calipers)
- Work efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Ability to visually detect defects
- Able to drive a sit down forklift
- Ability to work on feet for duration of shift
- Desire to learn
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
The essential functions of the job include:
V
erifying and keeping records of incoming and outgoing shipments; unpacking and inspecting incoming shipments and matching items to respective shipper and purchase orders; rectifying discrepancies, identifying damaged material and communicating this information to appropriate personnel; preparing items for outgoing shipment; entering record of incoming material into material log and ERP’s Receipt of Goods Program; tagging material in accordance with quality standards; performing quality checks on receipted material to comply with all related quality standards
