Location: Kendallville, IN
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday, 6:30am–2:30pm (hours may vary based on truck arrivals)
Pay: $19.00/hour+

Job Summary
Are you hands-on, safety-focused, and enjoy working in a fast-paced industrial environment? We’re seeking a Shipping & Receiving Laborer to join a family-owned recycling manufacturer in Kendallville, IN. In this role, you’ll play a key part in moving, organizing, and tracking aluminum materials while supporting warehouse operations and maintaining a clean, safe facility.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Shipping & Receiving Laborer, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Material Receiving & Handling:
    Receive loose materials, barrels, and boxes and position them properly in the warehouse or load onto trailers while ensuring correct labeling, weights, and barcodes.
  • Shipping & Inventory Control:
    Load and ship finished aluminum sows using load sheets, maintain accurate counts, and ensure all materials are properly segregated by lot number, customer, and material type.
  • Warehouse Organization & Safety:
    Stack and store materials safely, band and skid incoming materials, cover outdoor-stored materials, and keep loading docks and warehouse areas clean and debris-free.
In addition, you will also be expected to operate industrial equipment (forklift, skid steer, and front-end loader), weigh incoming aluminum, assist the Shipping & Receiving Manager, and perform general grounds and housekeeping tasks as directed by management.

What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work overtime as needed and assist in multiple job functions
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely in a warehouse environment
Skills:
  • Teamwork & Communication: Ability to work well with coworkers, supervisors, and customers
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Comfort working around equipment and materials; general math skills are helpful
  • Equipment Operation: Forklift experience preferred (training provided for the right candidate); willingness to learn skid steer and front-end loader operation
