Slitter Machine Operator
to support
cut to length
steel processing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for safely handling steel coils, assembling equipment, monitoring product quality, and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the production process.
This position is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow in metal manufacturing—previous experience is required.
Documentation of production statistics including:
- Actual strip widths produced
- Gauge readings.
- Quality comments observed during run and disposition with sign-off.
- Any other production documentation which may be required.
Responsible for the work area being kept clean and orderly.
Report any quality concerns, including stopping production to prevent a nonconformance, to the immediate supervisor.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years experience in metal/steel processing environment.
- Must possess basic reading, writing and math skills.
Related Equipment:
- Processing equipment including; coil cars, turnstiles, arbors, etc.
- Tooling set-up computer program
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Olsen
- Rockwell
- Gamma Gauge
Physical Requirements:
● Can lift up to 50 lbs. And be on your feet all day
