In this role, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machines, ensuring all electronics assembly products meet quality standards. This is a great chance for someone seeking a permanent career path.
What You'll Be Doing
As an
SMT Operator,
your core responsibilities will include:
- Setup & Operation : Adjust, set up, and operate SMT machines according to job orders, operating the line to prescribed production run rates.
- Loading & Maintenance: Load proper parts into the machine and fill solder paste. Perform maintenance and calibration of equipment as necessary.
- Quality Control: Inspect and test finished SMT products for quality, monitoring machine output and checking operation against predetermined tolerances.
- Machine Control: Making sure everything is running properly using the computer-based controls.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of experience in SMT electronics assembly preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Windows-based computers, MS Word, and Excel preferred.
Skills:
- Machine Operation: Proficient in setting up and adjusting SMT machines per job specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Strong ability to inspect finished products and monitor machine output to maintain strict quality tolerances.
- Technical Literacy: Basic familiarity with computer controls and manufacturing software for monitoring and documentation.
