What You’ll Be Doing
As a Soldering Technician , your responsibilities will include:
As a Soldering Technician , your responsibilities will include:
- Hand soldering and reworking electronic components on PCBs following IPC standards.
- Using soldering irons, hot air rework stations, microscopes, and other precision tools.
- Following detailed work instructions to ensure consistency and quality.
- Inspecting solder joints for defects such as cold joints, solder bridges, or insufficient solder.
- Collaborating with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot and resolve soldering issues.
- Suggesting process improvements to enhance product quality and workflow efficiency.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of work performed and ensuring compliance with company and customer requirements.
- Keeping workstations organized and compliant with 5S and safety standards.
- Performing all work with a focus on precision, quality, and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with hand soldering, rework, or PCB assembly preferred (training available for entry-level candidates).
- Familiarity with IPC-610/620 standards is a plus.
- Ability to work with small components under a microscope.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured work instructions.
- Team player with good communication skills and a proactive mindset.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Regular use of microscopes, magnifiers, and hand tools.
- Occasionally lift or move up to 20 lbs.
