. In this role, you'll play a vital part in supporting students with special needs, ensuring they receive the academic, behavioral, and emotional support needed to succeed in a positive learning environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As a
Special Education Paraprofessional
, your core responsibilities will include:
●
Supporting Instruction:
Assist teachers with classroom activities, curriculum adaptation, and individualized instruction for students with special needs.
●
Providing Physical Assistance:
Help students with mobility, hygiene, and health-related needs to ensure their comfort and safety.
●
Encouraging Positive Behavior:
Monitor and support student behavior through interventions, redirection, and calming strategies.
In addition, you will also be expected to
supervise students during activities such as lunch, recess, field trips, and classroom transitions while maintaining confidentiality and safety standards.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications:
● Associate’s degree preferred
● Experience in an academic or youth-centered environment is helpful
● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students physically

Communication:
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and students.

Organization:
Ability to maintain accurate records and support classroom structure.
