Job Summary
Workbox Staffing is hiring a
Senior Wiring Harness Assembly Technician
in Wixom, MI. This role is ideal for experienced candidates with a strong background in wiring harness assembly who are looking to contribute their skills in a clean, team-oriented production environment. You’ll be responsible for building, testing, and inspecting wiring harness assemblies while following detailed instructions and diagrams.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Wiring Harness Assembly Technician, your core responsibilities will include:
- Wiring Harness Assembly: Build complete wiring harnesses including stripping, crimping, soldering, and routing wires.
- Blueprint & Diagram Reading: Follow wiring diagrams, assembly instructions, and layout boards to ensure accurate builds.
- Tool & Equipment Operation: Use hand tools and operate semi-automatic equipment such as crimp presses, wire twisters, and wire strippers.
- Testing & Inspection: Conduct functional and continuity testing using test fixtures and perform visual and dimensional inspections.
- Soldering: Use a soldering iron to connect wires to switches and connectors.
Additional duties may include assisting with production needs and maintaining quality standards throughout the assembly process.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of related assembly/production experience
- At least 1.5 years of wiring harness assembly experience required
- Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams and assembly instructions
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
Skills & Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to differentiate colors
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Excellent hand dexterity for precise assembly work
- Basic math skills
- Ability to perform repetitive hand assembly tasks
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
Shift & Employment Details
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Contract-to-hire opportunity
