Steel Truss Assembler
Location: Holland, MI
Shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM | Monday–Friday
Pay: $18.00/hour

Job Summary
We're looking for a dependable and hardworking Steel Truss Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for assembling steel trusses from start to finish while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safety throughout the production process. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, using basic hand tools, and working as part of a team in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Steel Truss Assembler, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Assembling Steel Trusses: Assemble and move steel trusses according to production specifications.
  • Positioning and Aligning Components: Position parts to ensure proper alignment and verify dimensions for accuracy throughout the assembly process.
  • Using Hand Tools: Build finished products using a screw gun, hammer, and other basic hand tools.
  • Maintaining Quality Standards: Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet company quality standards and specifications.
  • Supporting Production Goals: Work at a steady pace while maintaining safety, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Maintaining a Safe Work Environment: Keep workstations clean and organized while following all company safety procedures.
In addition, you will assist with material handling and other production duties as assigned to support daily manufacturing operations.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • U.S. work authorization required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand for 8–10 hours per day.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to follow company policies and procedures.
Skills
  • Hand Tool Operation: Ability to safely use a screw gun, hammer, and other basic hand tools.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Familiarity with light gauge materials, production processes, hardware, and assembly tools (training provided).
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately position components and verify dimensions.
  • Productivity: Ability to maintain a moderate production pace while meeting quality and safety standards.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively to complete assignments successfully.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for 8–10 hours throughout the shift.
  • Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and assembly equipment.
  • Ability to work in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment year-round.
