Electrical Test Technician

Location: Madison Heights,  MI Shift: 1st Shift   Pay:  $24+/hr (DOE)

Job Summary

What You’ll Be Doing
As an Electrical Test Technician, your core responsibilities will include:
• Performing electrical and mechanical testing at various stages of the manufacturing process
• Recording test results, maintaining inspection records, and ensuring accurate quality documentation
• Diagnosing electrical issues and recommending corrective actions for defects or malfunctions
• Reading and interpreting one-lines, schematics, ladder diagrams, and engineering drawings
• Verifying electrical components, wiring, and assemblies using meters and diagnostic tools
• Ensuring products meet UL, ETL, CSA, NEC 2020, and company safety standards
• Following all safety procedures and quality guidelines

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and understand one-lines, schematics, ladder diagrams, and blueprints
• Experience verifying electrical components and performing testing using meter equipment
• Ability to review engineering specifications to determine product conformance
Preferred Qualifications:
• Journeyman Electrician certification
• 3+ years of experience in commercial electrical or facilities management environments
• Knowledge of UL, ETL, CSA compliance standards and NEC 2020 code

Skills:
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, components, and testing methods
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• High attention to detail for inspections and documentation
• Computer proficiency, including Epicor ERP/MRP systems or similar and Microsoft 365
• Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
