Job Summary

Tool Crib Attendant
to support production by managing tooling inventory, preparing tooling sets, maintaining records, and ensuring operators have the tools needed to keep production running efficiently.
This role combines inventory management, tooling support, data tracking, and communication with production teams to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be organized, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Receive tooling and dies and organize inventory within a Kardex storage system
• Prepare tooling sets and production documents for operators based on production schedules
• Support production teams by retrieving replacement tooling and minimizing downtime
• Assist operators with locating tooling and identifying substitutions when needed
• Audit inventory, organize storage areas, and maintain accurate stock levels
• Track tooling usage and maintain records using SAP and Excel
• Create spreadsheets and reports for inventory and tooling analysis
• Generate quotes, create purchase requisitions, and support purchase order processes
• Create and maintain tooling records and supplier information
• Package and ship tooling for repair or rework
• Collect and maintain data for new and experimental tooling
• Assist with production paperwork and documentation for manufacturing departments
• Train employees on production paperwork, inventory systems, and tooling processes
• Perform daily production floor walkthroughs and communicate updates to management
• Follow all PPE, safety, and quality procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
• Degree in Business or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
• Previous manufacturing, inventory, tooling, warehouse, or production support experience preferred
• Basic computer skills required, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Experience with SAP or ERP systems preferred
• Ability to visually inspect tooling and identify wear or defects
• Ability to use digital calipers and perform basic measurements
• Comfortable learning to assemble/disassemble tooling using hand tools and hydraulic equipment
• Ability to read charts, tables, and basic mechanical drawings
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, forklifts, oils, and required PPE
