CNC Machinist -
2nd Shift - Up tp $33.50/hr - Grass Lake, MI

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines.
- Perform linear and contour machining per layout directions or profile/contour programs.
- Machine parts to customer specs while minimizing waste.
- Verify job setups and tooling before and during production.
- Read and interpret blueprints and die designs accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and ensure part quality.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Proven experience with large automotive mills (4–12+ meters)—MUST HAVE.
- 5-axis machining experience.
- Ability to program directly at the controller using G-code.
- Familiarity with Fanuc and Heidenhain controllers.
- Experience machining die components (hoods, doors, fenders).
- Defense machining or large fabrication experience is a plus.
- Hands-on use of SMIRT and Die NC is preferred.
- Ability to interpret GD&T and complex technical drawings.
- Candidates should have their own tools to a reasonable degree.
