Monday-Friday 6:30 AM - 3 PM
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Transformer Assembler, your core responsibilities will include:
- Reading & Execution: Read, comprehend, and execute processes according to the work order and blueprint to determine the materials and parts needed.
- Coil Winding: Operate a coil-winding machine to wind small inductors to be used in transformer units.
- Machinery Operation: Use light machinery such as a large fabrication shear, strip steel shear, manual punch machines, and porter saws.
- Material Handling: Count and stack steel according to blueprints; gather materials and organize transformer core according to blueprints. Use an overhead crane to move completed components off the machines.
- Tool Use: Operate hand tools, power tools, shears, saws, winding machines, brakes, and punches.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Skills:
- Able to read and interpret winding diagrams and specifications.
- Must be able to read and understand tape measure markings down to 1/16th of an inch.
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend plant directives.
