What You'll Be Doing
As a
Transformer Assembler
, your core responsibilities will include:
- Assembly and Operation: Operate a coil-winding machine to wind small inductors for transformer units. Safely use overhead cranes to move components off machines.
- Material Processing: Use light machinery such as fabrication shears, strip steel shears, manual punch machines, and porter saws.
- Reading and Execution: Read, comprehend, and execute processes per work orders and blueprints. Count and stack steel, and gather materials and organize transformer cores per specifications.
- Tool Use: Operate hand tools, power tools, brakes, and punches.
- Quality and Stamina: Stand for extended periods while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend plant directives.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Must be able to read and interpret winding diagrams and blueprints.
- Ability to read tape measure markings down to 1/16th of an inch.
- Forklift operation certification preferred.
- Experience operating light machinery, forklifts, cranes, and scales preferred.
Skills:
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy and quality standards while executing processes and counting/stacking materials.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Strong skill in reading, comprehending, and executing work per winding diagrams and blueprints.
- Safe Operation : Proficient in the safe operation of hand tools, power tools, light machinery, and overhead cranes.
