Job Summary
The purpose of this job is to bend metal structural shapes, such as bars, strips, rods, angles, and tubes to a specified angle or contour. You will be responsible for ensuring that all parts meet quality and quantity specifications within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a CNC Tube Bender, your core responsibilities will include:
- Machine Operation: Set up and operate manual and CNC bending machines.
- Blueprints & Specifications: Interpret blueprints and verify conformance of work pieces to specific requirements.
- Maintenance & Adjustments: Perform tool changeovers and adjustments as needed.
- Problem Solving: Recognize typical problems in parts and equipment when they occur.
- General Shop Tasks: Perform cleaning and other incidental duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 2–3 years of experience and/or on-the-job training.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with manual Pines benders in their setup and operation.
- Math Skills: An understanding of basic shop math, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Inspection: General knowledge of part inspection and the ability to visually identify deficiencies.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy.

- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) and interact professionally with management.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to prioritize duties and multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
- Collaboration: Ability to work cooperatively to provide seamless customer service.
Physical & Mental Requirements
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, sit, move, climb, and lift or push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Manual Dexterity: Fine, highly controlled muscular movements for adjusting control mechanisms and manipulating small objects.
- Mental Aptitude: Ability to read and understand job instructions and demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations.
Working Conditions
- Typical manufacturing environment conditions.
- Use of safety equipment is required, including safety glasses and appropriate shoes.
- Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are strictly prohibited for safety.
