Job Title: Tube Mill Operator
Location: Cedar Springs, MI
Pay: $18-$22/hr (depending on experience)
Shift: 1st Shift 6am-3pm Monday-Thursday and 6am-12pm on Friday
Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining tube mill machinery to produce high-quality tubes. You will work closely with your team to ensure parts meet customer specifications and deadlines. Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate tube mill machinery
- Produce quality parts to meet customer deadlines and specifications
- Monitor machine cycles and operations to detect malfunctions
- Perform quality checks using measuring devices and record results
- Maintain equipment through routine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Oversee mill crew to ensure efficient operations
- Handle heavy machinery such as forklifts, overhead, and dual trolley cranes
- Review incoming orders, handle packaging, and tag materials
- May lift up to 70 lbs for tooling changes
- Comply with all safety regulations
- Identify and implement continuous improvement ideas
Key Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1+ years of manufacturing experience; leadership experience a plus
- Preferred experience operating tube mills/roll forming, but not required
- Strong mechanical/electrical knowledge preferred; welding knowledge a plus
- Ability to read and interpret engineering part drawings
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken
- Computer literate
