Location:  Troy, MI  Shift : 1st  Shift Pay:  $20
 
Job Summary
Are you detail-oriented, organized, and skilled at maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced warehouse environment? We’re seeking a  Warehouse Quality Associate  to support quality, shipping, receiving, and sorting operations. In this role, you’ll be responsible for inspecting materials, documenting quality activities, and supporting warehouse workflow to ensure accuracy and consistency throughout the facility.
 
What You'll Be Doing
 
As a  Warehouse Quality Associate , your responsibilities will include:
Quality Responsibilities:
  • Isolating non-conforming incoming materials that fail receiving inspection.
  • Filing paperwork such as inspection log sheets, pick lists, and travelers.
  • Collecting product samples for each lot.
  • Inspecting materials (5 pieces per lot).
  • Supporting layered audits for management review of company operations.
  • Discarding inspected materials after 12 weeks.
  • Controlling PPAP or PTR materials for easy access during pre-trial runs.
  • Taking photos of quality issues, packaging approvals, and data forms.
  • Repacking materials as needed when incorrect SPQs are used.
  • Tracking recalibration expiration dates and sorting activities.
  • Contacting vendors regarding finished-goods quality issues.
Shipping Responsibilities:
  • Conducting shipping audits for all customer shipments.
  • Completing daily shipping audit summary reports.
  • Assisting with receiving and shipping tasks during team lunch breaks.
Sorting Responsibilities:
  • Performing visual sorting and drill reworking (e.g., Saltillo/Part #06508247AA).
  • Completing other visual sorting tasks as needed for issue materials.
  • Maintaining the daily sorting report (living document).
Receiving Responsibilities:
  • Unloading trucks and receiving incoming freight.
  • Separating materials for crates containing multiple lots or part numbers.
  • Assisting warehouse supervision with receiving, sorting, and material issues.
What We're Looking For
 
Qualifications:
  • Prior warehouse, quality, or inspection experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to follow processes, documentation requirements, and quality standards
Skills:
  • Quality inspection
  • Documentation and recordkeeping
  • Basic problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
