Job Summary
Workbox Staffing is looking for qualified MIG welders! MIG Welders will be responsible for performing welding operations on metal components using Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding techniques. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards to produce high-quality welded products.
Responsibilities for the Welder (MIG/TIG)
- Perform various weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations
- MIG and TIG weld to manufacture products to customer drawings and specifications
- Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts
- Maintain all welding equipment
- Perform finish grinding applications using manual and power tools
Qualifications for the Welder (MIG/TIG)
- High school diploma or GED; or 1 year equivalent experience in welding
- Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques
- Knowledge of wire, filler materials, and gases for various steel alloys
- Ability to read blueprints and weld requirement symbols
Skills for the Welder (MIG/TIG)
- Experience with fixturing and weld setup parameters
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and memos
- Ability to effectively present information to customers and employees
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
