Job Summary

Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We’re seeking a  Welder/Fabricator  to join our team in  Grand Rapids, MI . In this role, you’ll be a vital part of our operations, supporting the design, development, manufacture, and installation of bag and unit load material handling systems for our customers.

What You'll Be Doing

As a  Welder/Fabricator , your core responsibilities will include:
  • MIG Welding:  Perform MIG welding for the majority of production work, ensuring strong, high-quality welds that meet specifications.
     
  • Blueprint Interpretation:  Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to accurately fabricate and assemble components.
     
  • Fabrication & Assembly:  Use hand and power tools to cut, fit, and assemble metal components according to project requirements.
     
In addition, you will also be expected to assist with occasional TIG welding, material handling, and shop support tasks as needed.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of welding or fabrication experience (primarily MIG; some TIG preferred)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read and understand detailed blueprints
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, squatting, and reaching throughout the shift
  • Availability for overtime as required
  • Reliable attendance — attendance is a top priority
     
Skills:
  • MIG & TIG Welding Skills:  Ability to produce consistent, quality welds to meet production and safety standards.
  • Tool Proficiency:  Experience using hand tools and power tools such as drills, grinders, and cutoff wheels.
  • Material Handling Equipment:  Experience operating overhead cranes (3–5 tons) and forklifts is preferred.
  • Attention to Detail:  Strong focus on quality, accuracy, and meeting specifications.
