Job Summary
We're seeking a determined and safety-conscious Fabricator Level 1.. The ideal candidate will be able to follow directions, read mechanical drawings, and produce high-quality products while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Responsibilities
- Weld and assemble products according to drawings and specifications
- Maintain safety and quality standards in all job responsibilities
- Manage and ensure product quality, and request equipment and supplies as needed
- Install various items to complete projects safely and within established time frames
- Maintain shop, equipment, and tools, and assist other trades personnel as required
- Perform other related duties to ensure an efficient and effective work environment
Key Qualifications
- 1 -2 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication
- Ability to operate equipment such as band saws, grinders, and drill presses
- Strong understanding of safety practices and procedures
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and follow directions
- High school diploma or GED with a background in fabrication
Preferred Skills
- Experience with various welding processes and techniques
- Ability to plan and manage projects, and prepare and maintain accurate records
- Strong problem-solving skills, including algebra and geometry
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present information to others
- Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
