Job Summary
Workbox Staffing is hiring a skilled TIG/MIG Welder
for a long‑term opportunity with a growing manufacturing partner. In this role, you will be responsible for welding, fabricating, and assembling metal components according to blueprints and production specifications. This position requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work safely in a fast‑paced environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a TIG/MIG Welder, your core responsibilities will include:
- Performing TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and/or carbon steel
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
- Setting up welding equipment and preparing materials for production
- Inspecting welds to ensure accuracy, structural integrity, and quality standards
- Grinding, cutting, and finishing welded components as needed
- Operating fabrication tools such as saws, grinders, and plasma cutters
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Supporting production goals and collaborating with team members
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with TIG and MIG welding in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and equipment
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work
- Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent) are a plus
- Reliable attendance and a strong safety mindset
